At what point did you feel the most joyful on your wedding day :: While the whole day was just perfect, I would have to say the moment I saw his face at the end of the aisle was the best single “moment”. I couldn’t wait to see him, and as soon as I saw his face I knew it was really happening, and within the hour we would be husband and wife!
What is the one moment you want to rememer 10 years from now :: Sorry hubby, but I have to say dancing with my dad. My husband and I always slow dance at weddings (or at home). We’re very affectionate, and while I adore every one of them, I have many of those types of moments with him. On the other hand, I rarely, if ever, get that sort of special moment with my dad. The day meant a lot to him as well as us. He has two daughters, and considers my husband the son he never had. So while some say that he was “giving me away” that day, for me it was actually more about us all becoming closer and embracing this new branch of our family tree that we’ve just added. I would say my dance with him was our private little celebration of all of that, and it will forever warm my heart to go back to that moment.
What advice would you give to future brides/grooms :: I would say — don’t do a first look. It’s not just about him seeing you in a pretty dress.. what really took my breath away in that moment of looking at him from the end of the aisle was that in that moment it was all real. If we had done a first look, that anticipation would have been robbed from that moment and I can’t help but feel that it wouldn’t have been the same.
Whitney + Andrew, your wedding photos are radiant and we love them all so much!! Congrats. All our Love. xoxo
