King Plow Wedding in Atlanta, GA :: Veronica + George :: with Rebekah
Holy cow, we’re SO thrilled to share a few of our favorites from Veronica + George’s wedding day at King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta. We had a tough time choosing because, of course, these two are beautiful but also because they chose to incorporate so many unique elements into their decor. Veronica’s alternative bouquets for her and her bridal party are absolutely stunning – glass lanterns filled with lights and overflowing with gorgeous blooms?? Yes, please!
We’re so excited for these two and grateful that Veronica caught us up on what they remember most from their day…
Tell us about your wedding! How would you describe the overall vibe/feeling of your day? Anything special that you planned and couldn’t wait to see come together? The wedding was great! The vibe was definitely super chill and relaxed (which was awesome.) After planning it all separately, I was excited to see how the venue, decorations, people, and music came together!
Is there a moment that stands out above the rest, now that you’ve been married for a few weeks? We just got back from our Honeymoon in Hawai’i, so I’d have to say that whole trip was an amazing moment!
What’s your favorite thing that you decided to include or spend money on? My favorite thing to include was definitely the home-made “Wedding Cake” Cupcakes. My mom made them all (200+ cupcakes) and they are a favorite recipe that I’ve had at pretty much all of my birthdays since I was a kid; they were Apple butter cupcakes with caramel icing!
What did you love most about working with OLAS? 2 things: 1. Rebekah was super awesome! She totally fit in with the vibe of the day as well as fitting right in with my group of friends. She made it easy! 2. I didn’t see Rebekah at all during the ceremony and the reception, but every time I saw something hilarious happening, I barely got through the thought of wondering where she was before I spotted her. She was super on top of it!
How, if at all, are you incorporating elements from your wedding into your home or everyday life? Anything special that you’re excited to keep for years to come? The lanterns that I made that I used in the place of bouquets. I’ve got it on a shelf in my apartment! The bridesmaids and the flower girl took their lanterns home as presents from the wedding!
What does it feel like to finally be married? I’ve gotten asked this question a lot. And honestly, it doesn’t feel much different than being engaged. I think the switch that everyone talks about didn’t happen for me after the wedding; it happened a year and a half ago when he first proposed to me!
Congratulations, Veronica + George!! xoxo, The OLAS Team
