What advice would you give to other brides/grooms for their wedding day :: My biggest advice for future brides/grooms would be to step back and enjoy the moment throughout your wedding day, and to not sweat the small stuff. My husband Mike and I took a lot of moments throughout our wedding to appreciate all of the hard work we put into it, and our wedding coordinator Carla helped to facilitate certain events (like cake cutting) so we could go with the flow. This helped a LOT with letting go of stress and to be fully present that day. We even had a sweetheart table so we could share our first meal together and talk more about the wedding day! Being able to stop to soak in the moment helped create those lasting memories. By the end of the wedding when last dances/last call was announced, I was surprised at how fast the whole day went!
What was your favorite detail from your wedding :: I think my favorite detail from our wedding was our candy buffet! I had planned this candy buffet and had the ideas in place for a good year or two. Throughout the wedding planning process, I would collect glass jars that were different heights and shapes to make the candy bar that much more unique. My husband Mike loves candy (as do I), so we felt it incorporated a lot of who we are. We also had found a cute candy bar sign “Treat Yo Self” from Etsy – the quote is from one of our favorite shows, Parks and Recreation. I think the way it was set up was better than I ever imagined. The candy was gobbled up quickly and I was so happy to hear that all of our guests enjoyed the buffet!
