What was the most surprising thing about your wedding :: I think the thing that surprised me the most was the overwhelming sense of calm and mission I felt the day of the wedding. I was a mess with nerves and stress the weeks leading up to the wedding, I was just ready to get it over with, so when I woke up the day of the wedding so calm that I was singing in the shower, it surprised everyone! I was ready to walk down the aisle and marry the man that was meant for me. It also made all of my other emotions duller though, I definitely didn’t cry like I would on a normal day, and felt more unemotional than normal just because I think I just wanted it to go smoothly and there was so much going on it was overwhelming.
What advice would you give to future brides/grooms for their wedding day :: Some advice would be to try and slow down to take everything in. I spent over a year and a half planning every single detail of this wedding and then it came and went before I could catch my breath. I feel like I didn’t even get to see everything around the venue, we didn’t eat any food we had picked out a year before, and felt like we just said hi to the guests, barely danced, and it was time to go home! Don’t waste time planning and worrying, because you won’t even notice the day of.
