At what point did you feel the most joyful on your wedding day :: Ben and I both felt the most joyful when we saw everyone (60 guests) smiling at us. Many of our guests crossed oceans and continents, left their kids, spouses and pets behind to be there. Their support and love was overwhelming. We also felt those that were with us in spirit. Friends who couldn’t make the trip for important reasons and Ben’s mom, Getty and our grandparents, their good vibes were radiating our special day.
One word that best describes your wedding :: Complete – Ben; Joy – Marilyn
Tell us something interesting about your wedding :: Ben and I tried to incorporate our cultural heritage into our wedding. From the Celtic heart cake topper, to the wedding bells and wild flower seeds from Ben’s Irish side of the family. More personal than cultural for Ben, he was able to play and dance to one of his songs from when he Deejayed in San Francisco. To represent my side, my dad and I danced Huayno, a traditional Peruvian dance, from my dad’s home town of Cusco, Peru. We also added Spanish to our wedding program and the water bottles in the welcome tote bags. In addition, we incorporated the blessing of the wedding coins to the ceremony and the ribbons in the wedding cake instead of the mainstream bouquet toss for the single ladies.
Marilyn + Ben, wow – we love your wedding photos!! You guys are the best. All our Love. xoxo
