At what point did you feel the most joyful on your wedding day :: The whole day was absolutely amazing! The ceremony was really special. David and I asked my oldest brother, Brady to officiate. He did a wonderful job, incorporating vows that are so us. Standing on the other side of me was my brother, Patrick. And next to David was his brother, Brian. It’s hard to describe the feeling of marrying your best friend, surrounded by the people who know you best. Everywhere we looked we had someone supporting and encouraging us. It was perfect.
What was your favorite detail from your wedding :: There are so many fun things you can do with a December wedding! Since David and I both love the movie, It’s a Wonderful Life, we wanted to incorporate a couple details. My mom and her best friend had found these little gold bells with place cards. One of my best friends wrote out the names and every person found a gold bell at their table setting. David and I and our immediate families knew what the bells were for, but I didn’t know if the rest of our guests had caught on. In my father’s speech at the reception he did an amazing job incorporating the bells, the movie, and encouraging people to ring them when they felt inclined to express that It’s a Wonderful Life. Every time he said “It’s a Wonderful Life” we all rang the bells together. The speech was so thoughtful and my mom and I were so surprised. And it really brought our entire wedding of 150 people together, into one beautiful moment.
Kathleen + David, we love you both and your precious wedding photos! Congrats!! xoxo
