What advice would you give to other brides/ grooms for their wedding :: At first were a little embarrassed by the size of our bridal party and talked a lot about having only our MOH and BM. We both have amazing friends from the various stages of our lives and it was important to us to share the day with all of them. At the end of the day, there was never a better group of friends to help us set up, get ready with, and hike down the mountain towards. And will never be a better group of friends to celebrate life together with. So glad we didn’t cut the list short because of what others might think or what looks best in photographs.
What was your favorite detail from your wedding :: I used to hide little cranes in Nick’s cell phone covers when we first started dating. When we started thinking about details and how to include parts of Japan, it made sense to start folding 1,000 cranes (with lots of help from family!). 1,000 cranes has a lot of interpretations in Japanese culture and all of them fit well with the start of our new adventure together.
Write a little note of thanks to anyone that really made your day special :: Our co-officiant’s Becky Metler and Alex Brant just nailed it! We didn’t give our best friends much direction for the ceremony, just all of our trust that they would share our love story and guide us in our commitment to each other in the perfect way. And they did. Oh, they did. We laughed, we cried, we loved, and never stopped smiling. It was just perfect.
Kaori + Nick, we are absolutely in love with your amazing wedding!! All our Love. xoxo
